Wynona Redmond is the president and founder of Wyn-Win Communications, Inc. based out of Illinois. Prior to Wyn-Win Communications, Wynona served as the Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications for Northstar Lottery Group, the private manager of the Illinois Lottery. In this role, Wynona managed Corporate Social Responsibility, Responsible Gaming, Consumer Protection, Community Relations, Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Engagement.
Prior to Northstar, Wynona was Public Affairs & Government Relations Director for Dominick’s Finer Foods – an Oakbrook, Illinois-based chain of 78 supermarkets. At Dominick’s Wynona oversaw Public Relations, Local and State Government Relations, Community Relations, Special Events and Corporate Giving. She was also involved with the Corporate Diversity Board. Previously, Wynona also served in a public affairs management capacity for several government agencies including the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, the Chicago Housing Authority and Cook County Hospital.
In addition to NBPRS, Wynona has served as a Senior Advisor on the board of the Public Relations Society of America. She has volunteered her time on various boards including: the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Chicago Steering Committee for the Network of Executive Women, the Nominating Committee for the Illinois Retail Merchants Association and the Clear Channel Community Advisory Committee. Wynona is an accomplished public speaker and has served on numerous panels in addition to facilitating training seminars on Crisis Management.
Wynona has received numerous honors including: Target Market News PR Executive of the Year 2011, Who’s Who In Black Chicago, the Chicago Defender’s Women of Excellence, Today’s Black Woman Expo Launa Thompson/Phenomenal Woman Award, Rainbow Push Corporate Partner Award for Community Service and a Hero in the Hood Award.
